苹果地图「正本清源」 中国台湾省改「台湾」 Oct 31st 2013, 07:30 在台湾，外交部发言人高安周四宣布，苹果公司已把其地图程式中的简体字「中国台湾省」修正为繁体字「台湾」。 高安表示，苹果作业软件出现不当称呼一事，外交部获知后已在第一时间令驻外单位联络苹果公司，表达严正关切与不满，要求尽速更正。 高安说，驻外馆处已获苹果回应，苹果已将地图程式修正，目前苹果地图已可直接显示「台湾」。 目前不管是 iOS 7的地图，或是苹果电脑版地图，找「台湾」会直接在地图显示「台湾」。
